Stomach exercises for women

Who doesn’t want a flat tummy? It’s a dream of every woman to have a flat stomach that could make them look gorgeous in a part dress and stunning in a swimsuit. Usually we workout for hours and still are not satisfied with results…ever pondered why? The reason is that usually we perform weighted exercises for stomach (in a more focused manner abs) that result in the growth of our abs instead of reducing the fats and making the stomach flatter.

Men and women both usually have fats stored in their lower abdominal part and that is hard to reduce. Therefore it is imperative to first focus on fat reduction and adopt a workout that reduces fats instead of increasing the abdominal muscle size.

Exercises that are considered best for someone who wants to flatten her stomach are the ones that focus more on the movement, angle and stress exertion on the muscle then weights.

The top three exercises of this group as considered by the experts are given below:

- Crunches using an exercise ball:
Exercise balls are mostly used in exercises where force exertion on targeted muscle is required. This form of exercise does not flatten your stomach but also sculpt your body accordingly.

- Gorilla crunches (hanging knee raise):
Focusing on the lower abs, gorilla crunches give an overall shape to your stomach. It flattens your stomach and works your torso out as well.

- Lying flat crunches (bicycle movement):
Bicycle crunches are the easiest and the most done exercise for abs. it works on all three abs focusing more on the upper abs.

Again, the secret of having a flat stomach depends on a number of factors amongst which the most important one is your diet. Pay special attention to the angles and force exertion of these exercises. They should workout your tummy well.

I agree with the fact that stomach exercises are extremely important for health. I hear abdominal fat happens to be the worst for you, with lots of cancer causing consequences. I recently came upon a product that I really enjoy to keep in shape with called the ab-fit excercise program from g2fitness(www.g2fit.com). It has the ab workouts illustrated on the actual mat so that you don't always have to think of new ab workouts. Some people pay a crazy amount of money on personal trainers in order to get a nice stomach when really this mat guides you all on its own. I really really recommend it! check it out for sure! They also have mats fo yoga and pilates with the stretches on it as well. It's the company's "thing" to have the stretches and exercises printed on the mats. They are awesome.
